What is Q1G ransomware?
Q1G belongs to the ransomware family of viruses, exactly to the Dharma viruses. These viruses have the same mechanism of work, even the way of spreading. In the most cases, users get a fake e-mail that looks like an official letter from a legal service. Such letters have an attachment with the virus and when you open it, your device gets an infection. When the virus gets into your system, it begins scanning for important files, like .doc, .zip and etc. When everything is ready, this malicious program begins the process of encrypting and puts ransom notes somewhere close to the encrypted files. In our case to the end of the file adds the appendix .q1g and files become unreadable. When you are trying to remove Q1G ransomware by yourself, don’t change names of the files, otherwise they can become unrepairable! What about ransom notes, with the help of these documents, hackers always try to put the pressure on you, as the main aim here for a hacker to make you pay. Let’s have a look at RETURN FILES.txt:
