If you are experiencing a lot of pop-up ads with Promextff.cool/ label in the browser then your system is infected with PUP. Most probably, it entered into the system when you were installing some free program downloaded from the Web and didn’t opt out of extra apps offered by download client. This is the most common method of malware distribution.
